Flexi Fuel Hose Ideal for Custom Tanks

One of the first things to think about when you’re building a vehicle is where the fuel tank is going to go. Depending on the answer, the next thing to think about is how you’re going to get fuel into it.

Viper’s new filler hose may well be the answer. Made from nitrile rubber, it’s flexible, strong and totally fuel-safe. It has an inner liner and is wound with a wire spiral inside its wall, allowing it to bend into position to hook up with wherever you’ve located your tank.

How far does it bend? Well, there are four lengths and five diameters available, with the smallest of the latter being the most flexible. As a guide, though, Viper says that diameters from 51mm ID will easily make a 45° to 60° angle with a 300mm length, while a 500-750mm length of the same stuff will allow a couple of bends.

The full list of lengths available is 300, 500, 700 and 1000mm, while IDs on offer range from 38 to 63mm. All are supplied complete with a couple of clamps for securing the hose to your filler and tank necks once you’ve pushed it into place, and prices start at just £19.99 per 300mm.
